Preschool Scarecrow Day! Our Preschool children (and staff!) had the most wonderful time celebrating Scarecrow Day yesterday! Everyone came dressed as cheerful little scarecrows, ready for a day filled with storytime, crafts, outdoor fun, and all things autumnal. From reading The Scarecrow's Wedding to building their very own scarecrows, it was a day bursting with creativity, laughter, and learning. Thank you to our brilliant Preschool team for making it such a magical day; the children looked absolutely amazing! #PreschoolMagic #ScarecrowDay #AutumnLearning #EarlyYearsFun #SmallSchoolBigHeart
Throwback Thursday: A Glimpse into 1950! This week's #TBT takes us way back to around 1950, from an incredible old album celebrating five years of Kettering Preparatory School! So many familiar spaces and traditions... and yet so much has changed! From uniforms to playgrounds, the heart of St Peter's still shines through. These pupils would now be aged between 80 and 100, but their legacy, curiosity, confidence, and community, continues every single day in our classrooms. Have a look, tag someone who might remember, and share the memories! #ThrowbackThursday #StPetersSchoolKettering #Heritage #KetteringHistory #PrepSchoolPride #SmallSchoolBigHeart
Year 1 Trip to Abington Park Toy Museum Time Travel Through Toys! Our curious Year 1 explorers took a step back in time at the Abington Park Toy Museum this week, discovering spinning tops, rocking horses, teddy bears, and tin trains from long before tablets and tech! The children loved comparing toys from the past to their favourites today and learning that fun never goes out of fashion! Huge thanks to the museum team for such a warm welcome. #StPetersSchoolKettering #Curiosity #HistoryInAction #LearningThroughPlay #AbingtonParkMuseum #Year1Adventures #PrimarySchoolMagic
Year 6 Deliver Donations to Kettering Foodbank Making a Difference, One Box at a Time! Our amazing Year 6 pupils spent the morning delivering your generous Harvest donations to Kettering Foodbank. They met the dedicated team, toured the foodbank, and saw first-hand how every tin and packet helps local families in need. An eye-opening and humbling experience for all; proof that compassion and community spirit are alive and well at St Peter's! Thank you to every family who donated. #StPetersSchoolKettering #CommunityMatters #Harvest2025 #Year6Leaders #KetteringFoodbank #KindnessCounts #SmallSchoolBigHeart
Outdoor Learning Morning All of our children took their learning outdoors this week; from leaf painting to orchard maths, forest writing to mud kitchen science. A perfect reminder that learning doesn't only happen inside four walls! #OutdoorLearning #Curiosity #IndependentSchools #ForestSchool
Outdoor Learning – Together in Houses This week's Outdoor Learning was about more than just fresh air; it was about teamwork, collaboration, and community. Children from across year groups worked together in their Houses, supporting and learning from one another. This is what St Peter's is all about! #HouseSystem #Community #OutdoorLearning #Confidence #Curiosity
Year 6 Textile Printing Focus, patience, and a steady hand... Our Year 6 pupils have been busy carving and printing as part of their William Morris-inspired DT textiles project. From intricate designs to bold prints, the results are already looking fantastic; we can't wait to see the finished work! #Creativity #Curiosity #WilliamMorris #TextileDesign #IndependentSchools
Staying Safe with our PCSO Team This week we welcomed our local PCSOs into assembly to talk about staying safe, especially as we head into the darker winter months. The children were fantastic; they gave thoughtful answers, shared their ideas confidently, and could all talk about the importance of trusted adults. A big thank you to our PCSOs for their continued support. #Community #Confidence #TrustedAdults #IndependentSchools
